Choosing browser safe colors for a web page?

Is it a hassle trying to figure out the hex values?

When you find a color you like, is it difficult to quickly identify lighter or darker shades, or other colors that harmonize well?

It’s time to try the Cyberglitz Browser Safe Color Picker!

If this is your first visit, read on. Otherwise, try it now!
The EASY way to choose browser safe colors!
This interactive online color selection engine will make fast work of your web page design by letting you navigate directly through the Netscape color cube in a logical way with mouse clicks and arrow keys.

About the Cyberglitz Browser Safe Color Picker

Pick Color:
The "Pick Color" button will open a window with your browser safe palette of colors. In that window you can directly select colors, then click on "Lighter" and "Darker" buttons, "more RED", more "BLUE" (etc.) buttons. Best of all, you can instantly run through an entire area of the color cube by using "arrow keys"! Be sure to read "HELP" to learn how.
Where will you see the color?
The color you select in the "Pick Color" window is applied to a specific target in your main browser window. You specify the target in the "Pick Color" window. The targets are:
  • The page background
  • The text on the page, and
  • Seven numbered "swatches"
You can drag the swatches and the text around on the page to get the best possible perspective on color combinations.
Harmonize with an image
Your choice of colors is usually influenced by the tones in an important image that will go on the page. The Cyberglitz Browser Safe Color Picker lets you import your image from a web site or from your hard disk. You can even drag it around on the page! Use the "Change Image" button to open the image selection window.
How is this possible?
The new browsers have revolutionized web page design. They’ve raised the bar. They’ve expanded the horizons. They’ve given us true interactivity. It’s called Dynamic HTML (DHTML) and it’s incredible. The Cyberglitz Browser Safe Color Picker requires version 4.0 or above of Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer.
