Take a walk on the wild side: from
RED
to BLUE and back again!
It requires a treacherous trek through the
Dangerous Swamp of Less than
100% Brightness...
It's a journey of 120 degrees around
the curvature of three color spaces!
The longest journey begins with a single step. Start here.
Congratulations, you've travelled 24 degrees.
Look out! Brightness has dropped to 60%!
Dwindling supplies of Yellow!
But accumulating Cyan makes up for the loss..
Sure enough, this is a trip through
Magenta territory!
You made it! Can you find your way back?

This is a Color Ramp-O-Meter
thats charting your journey
from RED to
BLUE and back again.
It supplies the numbers that go with the territory:
- RGB (Red, Green, Blue) color space, expressed
in Decimal and Hexidecimal values
- CMY (CMYK - Cyan, Magenta, Yellow) color space,
expressed as percentages
- HSB (Hue, Saturation, Brightness) color space,
expressed as degrees for Hue, percentage for
Saturation and Brightness
And now for another journey...
This trip kept us on the surface
of the cube where saturation is always
100%.
Suppose we tunneled down into the interior
of the cube....???
After you're done here, try the Sliced Cube
and Dissected Cube animations.
They'll take you inside! If you're thoroughly confused,
try the Color Primer.
